Copperhead Flathead Screwdriver, 7.5 Tip is non-standard. This screwdriver is not a “Grip Screw” size, it is smaller and thinner and has multiple purposes. Used properly this screwdriver works well for smaller slotted grip screws, as they should not be over-tightened, making this a functional screwdriver for your standard grip screw. Improper use or over-tightening of screws can result in the screwdriver slipping off of the screw and potentially damaging the screw head or even the grip. To verify this I have been using this screwdriver exclusively for over a year as of Feb 2026 without damage to anything, this is due to the known limits that should be exercised with wood grips and screw tightening, as well as keeping steady straight pressure on the screw head. Prior to purchasing this tool I used 2 different popular models that were about $15 each, One was a 8 tip, the other was a 7 tip, I needed both because the 8 was used for screw tightening and the 7 was used for the other tasks mentioned here. I now realized it cost me $30 at each station (so times 6) to have the items available, each station was given this screwdriver and it is always the first one used. Where this really helps is with all necessary functions, the tip is narrow enough to be helpful in “splitting” grips apart when the pins are on the tight side. And comes in useful for many tasks where a small thin flathead screwdriver is needed.
We are working on some videos to help “fit” and install certain grips, this screwdriver will be the one used.
