Fits the following Smith and Wesson K/L Frame Round Butt Models:-69, 242, 296, 386, 396, 520(7 shot model), 619, 620, 646, 647, 696, 986-and the following models are either Round or Square Butts: 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19, 64, 65, 66, 67, 547, 586, 617, 681, 686
To differentiate between Round and Square Butt, Measure the flat area on the very bottom of your grip. This is the surface that commonly has the serial number located on it. Round butts will measure under 1 ¼” and Square butts will be over 1 ¼”.
K and L frames have the same grip frame and use the same grip. The K has been made since the '20s and there are a tremendous amount in circulation.
Smith models 460, 500, and Governor use the same grips as the K/L round butt frame revolvers. The wood and G10 grips that we make for the K/L round butt frames will break when installed and fired on these models. We CANNOT warranty any wood or G10 grip that was installed on one of these models.
